"Exes" (am I not enough?)

Men are
some strange creatures
I just can’t seem to figure them out.
No doubt I want to love you
trust me I do, but with your you know who's
ringing off your phone
I sure hope they’re still there when I am gone.
I see right through their antics, tastes acid,
to think they’re the ones that left you,
dare say used you? I can’t say, I wasn’t there
I can only go by what you say.
You say I’m over reacting by
what I see as disrespecting but I
don’t think you’re understanding.
These small things turn into big something’s
and I just ain’t laughing no more.
The more I think the furtherer I’m moving on
again it’s the simple principles we live on
but you play it off cause you don’t want to change or rearrange your style
all the while wanting my love.
Do you know what sacrifice is made of?
I want to believe what I see in your eyes
but it looks just like the same old brother in disguise.
